Travel to Puivert
By Plane
The nearest airport is Carcassonne, about 50 minutes’ drive away, with daily flights from Stansted, Manchester and East Midlands from April to October. The airports at Toulouse and Perpignan are both around 90 minutes’ drive away.
By Car
Driving from Calais takes about 10-11 hours, while Caen is about nine hours, and St Malo about eight and a half. Some people like to make the longer (overnight) crossing from Portsmouth to Bilbao, which is about five and a half hours’ drive from Puivert.
By Train
It is possible to take the Eurostar from London and change at Paris for a train to Carcassonne – about nine hours in total.
However you travel, it is more or less essential to have a car for use while on your holiday.
